- Looking for a career in Event Security because you think it's exciting? You're right - being a security guard at events can be thrilling! After all, you may get to attend some of the hottest happenings in town- from concerts and festivals to sport games and even celebrity events.

- We are currently accepting applicants to join our events security team in Kelowna, BC /Penticton, BC/ Vernon, BC, with ongoing events expected year round.

A Typical Day

A typical shift includes ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at various events, including monitoring entrances and exits, checking tickets or credentials, and patrolling the premises to deter any potential disruptions or unauthorized activities. You will maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff by responding to emergencies, such as medical incidents or disturbances, implementing appropriate protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or medical personnel as needed. You will assist with crowd control, providing directions or assistance to attendees, and reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents to their supervisors. Overall, you will make a difference by maintaining a safe and orderly environment for everyone involved in the event.

What you bring:

  • Valid security workers license or ability to obtain.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for an 8+ hr. period.
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Must be available evenings and weekends (and some holidays).

Don't have the Security Worker's License?

If you don't have a Security Worker's License, you can still work as a security guard at events.

  • One option is a 90-day license program, allowing temporary work with a criminal background check and with the supervision of a licensed Security Guard with a basic background check. This temporary license can lead to a permanent one, though you can only get it once.

  • Alternatively, in BC, for a valid BC security license you will need to complete a 40-hour Basic Security Training (BST) course. Completing BST earns a certificate from the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC). We may cover the cost of BST for exceptional candidates who show passion and dedication. We're looking for the best and most eager candidates to sponsor.
