The Airport Security Professional is responsible for ensuring safety and security of persons both airside and inside the Terminal and compliance with Aviation Security protocols.
Clearance Requirements (AVOP & RAIC) & Training
In this role, candidates will be required to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC), which involves a thorough background check covering the past five years of Canadian history. As this process can be time-consuming, it will begin immediately upon selection into the program.
Additionally, you must secure an Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP), which certifies you to safely operate vehicles within airside areas. Obtaining the AVOP involves both written and practical exams. Successful candidates will also undergo training in Aviation Security and, upon passing, will receive AVSEC certification.
